It all begins Wednesday with the premiere of Irina Paul’s latest project,“TANZT DIE MÄNNERSCHWIMMHALLE”.

Built in 1916, today the Leipzig Stadtbad pool is empty and covered and yet when one enters the space, they can sense the smell of chlorine and sound of splashing. It was this experience that lead Irina Pauls to conceive of a project in which people could share this feeling. The first tour is at 5 and then another at 7 and 9. See “nakedness” from Irina Pauls plus 11 other artists’ interpretation of swimming without water. Performances will run until 30 June with special performances at 11 on Sat and Sun. No performances 25, 26.

On Thur Heike Hennig premieres GESAMTGEWICHT. Street dancers, theater actors and boxers have movement in common. How does sport relate to theater? What are the similarities and contractions? Three protagonists of both worlds physically meet each other. Who will win? How will they affect each other?

Leipzig choreographer Heike Hennig makes her first appearance as a director at Theatre of the Jungen Welt.

Friday Herzbrennen premieres at the Leipzig Ballet. In the last premiere of the season, we get a 3 part performance with choreography from Uwe Scholtz and Mario Schröder.

There are times when words can not express what one feels. This is particularly the case when it comes to passion and sensuality. This isn’t new. This has been so throughout the ages. It is these times where one’s heart is burning that is the subject matter of Herzbrennen.

On Sat is Street Level at the HEIZHAUS where Urban Dancers battle to see who’s the best. It’s followed on Sun with free workshops in Breakdance, Funk Style & Locking, House, HipHop Oldschool & Hype
